Now that I've played the game a while, I'm able to give an assessment of which weapons are good to pick up on when you come to them. My favorite weapons are the combat rifle, the combat shotgun, katana (cool as heck), the magnum pistol and my all time favorite the ... Grenade Launcher. I'll pick up the other ones when I'm desperate as long as I can add more then a few bullets. I have found that these weapons will kill the zombies and they won't get back up. When you see a tank coming using the combat rifle or the AK-47 would be your best bet. Make sure you have enough ammo and you need to keep shooting them in the chest. If you have a Katana, you need to give him a good cut BEFORE he gets too close and the same goes with the witches. Shot the #$@^ out of them with every bullet or else it's over for ya. (Hope I'm posting this comment in the right place -- I'm still unsure about the correct way to navigate through the game room forums here at Team-Stealth) .... I thought I wasn't going to like Left 4 Dead 2 ... but I changed my mind All I have to do is figure out how to get down to street level. I found a lot of tips and help over the internet and the trick is .... jumping on the balconies without falling off or getting malled while you're hanging off the ledge (too funny). I know you guys are into MAPS but because I'm a nerd, I have to read my way out of things. The below gives me an idea of what I need to do to escape the perils of a walking dead: The survivors have just missed the last evacuation chopper out of the city. They must make their way back down to the streets. The first part of the level has the survivors running down the hallway checking rooms for supplies. Be aware of doors that have flames lapping out from them. Opening those doors will cause you and any unlucky survivors surrounding to be incapacitated from the searing flames. To make matters worse, this will cut off the hall as a path of progression. The survivors will then have to navigate the precarious balconies. This part of the level ends with the survivors entering an elevator heading to the ground floor. Prying open the door will trigger a crescendo event. There will be a silenced SMG directly in front of the elevator -- you will want to take it as it will be your first primary weapon. At this point, the hotel will be filled with smoke and saturated with fires which you will want to avoid. It's suggested that you throw a pipe bomb or bile bomb into an area on fire to give the survivors an easy jaunt to the ammo room on the right-hand side. In this room you will find some weapons. Leave the ammo room and head towards the kitchen. In the kitchen, jump over the table, make a left, keep progressing forward, and you'll eventually end up in the hotel lobby. The safe room is just on the other side. I'll let you know if I made it or not
